Rose and Almond Oil Vaseline - Review

I'm not really a Vaseline kind of person and my ordinary choice of lip balm is none of your beeswax by lush which is lovely but I was out and needed a lip balm so I popped into boots and picked up this because I thought it might be quite good and it's very pigmented so I thought it could also look quite nice on.

But it hasn't really done anything for me...

I'm not to sure where to start with this but I think I'll start on a positive! It smells amazing! It smells of rose Turkish delight which I absolutely love so that made me quite happy but I can't see anything else I like about it. (I actually do quite like the packaging though, the coral-ish pink is soo pretty!)

First of all, i use lip balm all the time but correct me if I'm wrong, it's supposed to add moisture to your lips and so is especially useful in winter months for dry lips? Well I applied this with not too dry but dry lips around this time last week over night and with my make up before I went to college but it has made my lips alot dryer than they were before and it's actually horrible because I hate having dry lips, it makes lipstick look awful on, and it hurts!

I was discussing this with my friend as well and she has had the same problems with it as I have. We did at first think it might be because it is so pigmented but there is nothing in it which makes it as artificially bright as you might originally think, the ingredients mainly consist of essential oils, aroma and petroleum.

I don't know why it has this effect on your lips but I would not recommend it which is a real shame because I think it could have been so good!
