As a vegan who is unfortunately obsessed with Lipstick to the extent that she wears it everyday without fail I thought it about time to replace all my lip products that are possibly not cruelty free for completely vegan and cruelty free, buav approved lipsticks. My lipstick and make-up collection in general has always been vegan as if it wasn't labelled vegan I would check the ingredients to make sure it was even if it wasn't necessarily cruelty free, even though it is something I have always been passionate about; So to be true to my morals and ethics I am going completely cruelty free with no exceptions.
When I found out that all of the Gelly Hi Shine Lips range from BarryM were vegan I was rather desperate to try them out and what time would be more perfect than a day out when I forgot my lipstick I was actually wearing. I am always fond of a nude lip as I'm sure everyone is aware by now so I went for Orion (which at first I was sure said onion and frightened me slightly...) which is a 'your lips but better' colour and I adore it, I've honestly worn it everyday since getting it which is unlike me!
It has a shiny finish which is new for me in a lip product as I tend to gravitate towards matte colours but I love it, it doesn't feel at all sticky which I was scared of and as well as being such a beautiful colour has an amazing smell. It smells sort of sweet like cinnamon and vanilla and quite delicious Christmas cookies so I'm not sure how I'll feel about that for the rest of the year but at the moment it's making me rather happy.
